Buying in Dubai, answered
Can a foreigner buy property in Dubai?
Yes. Foreign nationals can buy and fully own property in Dubai's designated freehold areas, which include most of the prime communities such as Palm Jumeirah, Downtown, Dubai Marina and Emirates Hills. Andrea guides you through eligibility and the process.
How much deposit do I need to buy a ready home?
For a mortgage, expat buyers typically need a down payment of around 20% to 25% of the property value, plus roughly 4% DLD transfer fee and agency and registration costs. Cash buyers pay the purchase price plus those fees. Andrea gives you a clear cost breakdown before you commit.
Does buying property get me a UAE residence visa?
Property purchases above certain thresholds can qualify you for a UAE residence visa, including the longer Golden Visa at higher values. The exact rules depend on the amount and property type. Andrea can point you to the current thresholds.
What are the total costs on top of the price?
Budget for around 4% DLD transfer fee, a 2% agency commission, plus smaller registration and conveyancing fees. For mortgaged purchases there are also bank and valuation fees. Every figure is laid out for you in advance.
